As a Pick Packer I select and pack boating and adventure items from the shelves based on customer and company orders. The role im currently in involves checking product quality, labelling, sealing boxes, picking items from shelves and maintaining a clean and safe work area. I have good physical fitness, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

• Pick packing at sorted is with rf scanners and a hard paper copy. We use jiffy’s to get around the warehouse so it's always important to be aware of our surroundings, on the back of the jiffy we have a pallet that we load our orders onto some orders are smaller, some are bigger. After we pick an order we have to wrap it manually and sent it out to dispatch. Our targets every hour is 140 and I always try to push myself to get well above that I have been managing 190 plus every hour.

• I am currently doing crew and maintenance for McDonald’s in rangiora and Kaipoi. It involves preparing food and taking orders from customers. It’s always important to have good work ethic and to be polite and go the extra mile for the customers. Customers are always top priority

• I was on a temp contract for one staff and then it ended and there wasn’t much work going on so didn’t need me to stay on. I enjoyed Pick Packing, having to hit a certain target each day would push myself to work harder.
