Currently a Youth Co-Responder Officer for The Department of Youth Justice. The role of a Co-Responder officer is to provide diversionary support to young offenders subject to youth justice intervention, or those at risk of entering the youth justice system, with the aim of preventing offending and reducing re-offending. I have over Ten years as a Police Liaison Officer (PLO) for the Queensland Police Service (QPS), working with community, external agencies and police to build rapport, trust and positive relationships. Assist police officers to communicate effectively with cultural appropriateness to members of the local community by providing advice on First Nations culture, customs and protocol. Identify opportunities to strengthen community engagement and the development of QPS crime prevention and early intervention strategies, that are culturally appropriate. Organised and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude, excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Work well under pressure and crisis situations. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.
