Throughout my career, I have remained steadfast in the belief that Principals and Senior Executives need to maintain currency of pedagogy and classroom management expertise in order to provide meaningful and relevant feedback to teachers and to have credibility when providing classroom management commentary and support.
Furthermore, I hold the strong belief that when the important relationship between a class of students and teachers is broken for the day, due to illness and a supply teacher is required, it shouldn’t mean a complete loss of learning opportunities for those students. I welcome feedback and the opportunity to demonstrate my teaching to those in schools who have the responsibility for the quality and calibre of the teaching workforce in that school.
