I am an 18 year old hard-working, dedicated worker with many years of physical/hands on experience and am hoping to gain an apprenticeship through your company. I am currently employed at HF Hand Constructor's where I am undergoing a full time position as a Third Year Apprentice Boilermaker/Welder. Throughout my time in this company I have been taught and learnt the values of working in a physically demanding environment where lots of hard work and discipline are required for the job. I am more than capable of working long hours as lots of overtime is a requirement in my current position. I would be of great benefit to your company because I have hands on trade experience, am disciplined and have the ability to work long hours with physical work, have a range of tools, have my P2 manual drivers license, have mastered skills in the workshop such as, self motivation, discipline, reliability, honesty and have an exceptional work ethic.
At HF Hand Constructors, I learned the values of working a full-time position in a hardworking, hands-on environment. Throughout my time as an Apprentice Boilermaker, I developed many new skills, such as working well with a team, communication skills, mathematical and problem-solving skills, being a hard and reliable worker, reading and analyzing blueprints/diagrams and being a reliable, organized, disciplined worker. I took on the responsibilities of fabricating large structural mild steel work using many different power tools and machinery, including Oxy-Acetylene/thermal cutting, plasma cutting, Manual Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Air-Arc Gouging, Pedestal Drills, Belt Linishers, 5" Angler Grinders, 9" Angle Grinders, Machine Press, Machine Punch, Metal Guillotine, and much more.
I worked at McDonald's for 2 years, and during my time there, I was trained in McCafe, Kitchen, Front Counter, and Drive-Thru. After my first 6 months working casual there, the managers offered me a crew trainer role, which I accepted. I had the responsibility of training new crew members to show and teach them exceptional customer service skills, essential hygiene requirements, how to operate machines in the restaurant, and other necessary skills like working in a team, how to treat co-workers and customers, and being confident in a fast-paced environment.
