At HF Hand Constructors, I learned the values of working a full-time position in a hardworking, hands-on environment. Throughout my first year as an Apprentice Boilermaker, I developed many new skills, such as working well with a team, communication skills, mathematical and problem-solving skills, being a hard and reliable worker, reading and analyzing blueprints/diagrams and being a reliable, organized, disciplined worker. I took on the responsibilities of fabricating large structural mild steel work using many different power tools and machinery, including Oxy-Acetylene/thermal cutting, plasma cutting, Manual Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Air-Arc Gouging, Pedestal Drills, Belt Linishers, 5" Angler Grinders, 9" Angle Grinders, Machine Press, Machine Punch, Metal Guillotine, and much more.

I worked at McDonald's for 2 years, and during my time there, I was trained in McCafe, Kitchen, Front Counter, and Drive-Thru. After my first 6 months working casual there, the managers offered me a crew trainer role, which I accepted. I had the responsibility of training new crew members to show and teach them exceptional customer service skills, essential hygiene requirements, how to operate machines in the restaurant, and other necessary skills like working in a team, how to treat co-workers and customers, and being confident in a fast-paced environment.
