  • Working as a Lead Study Coordinator for 12+ Trials in Medical Oncology Unit at Westmead Public Hospital
  • Understanding complicated protocols and managing clinical trials from site initiation visit to site close out visit
  • Liaise with CRAs (Clinical Research Associates), Sponsor Data Managers and Medical Monitors for running the trial in strict adherence to the protocol.
  • Looking after patients who actively participate in clinical trials, organise appointments, treatments and assessments and follow up all the patients timely.
  • Assist Investigators in confirming patient eligibility for entry to a trial
  • Preparing and conducting face to face patient visits
  • Screening patients for clinical trials and conducting medical history reviews, vitals (BP, pulse, temp etc) & ECGs.
  • Facilitating work within a team of Clinical Trial staff and wider multidisciplinary health care team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists etc.
  • Reviewing monitoring reports, resolving action items and maintain the Trial Investigator files with essential trial documents
  • Responding to data queries raised by Sponsor data managers, medical monitors and CRAs (Clinical Research Associates).
  • Proficient with ICH GCP and NHMRC guidelines.
  • Monitor patient safety to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Extensive therapeutic area knowledge in Oncology Phase I - IV clinical trials coupled with patient handling experience.
  • Preparation, processing, and shipping of biological samples obtained for clinical trials as per IATA and Australian Customs and Quarantine Guidelines.
  • Training and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Data collection into the hospital EMR and CTMS.
  • Data entry, query resolution and meeting Database locks as per eCRF guidelines on multiple EDC platforms.
