It all started when our school decided to put on a play. I had never acted before, but something about this show made me want to give it a shot. I went for it and ended up landing the lead role—something I never thought would happen!

Rehearsals were tough, and I wasn’t sure I could do it. But the more I practiced, the more comfortable I got. The night of the performance came, and I was nervous but excited. When I stepped on stage, something clicked. I forgot about being nervous and just focused on the character.

The audience loved it, and we even got a standing ovation. It was the best feeling ever.

A few weeks later, at the end-of-year awards, I couldn’t believe it when they called my name. "And the award for Best Performance in the School Play goes to… Wasik!" I was shocked! I walked up to the stage, heart racing, and took the shiny trophy. I couldn’t believe it.

I gave a quick speech, thanking everyone who supported me, especially our drama teacher. That moment really made me realize how much I loved acting, and how sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone leads to amazing things!
