duties over the course of the past four years with BMC HV Electrical and Instrumentation, based in Morwell. Geographic areas mainly serviced Latrobe Valley/Gippsland region for industrial installations and maintenance.
In the apprenticeship’s fourth year, was part of a multidisciplinary team of seven trade professionals (3 engineers and 4 electricians) commissioned for two major projects: AGL’s Loy Yang A automation upgrade, and Visy’s brand-new glass recycling plant at Laverton in Melbourne’s metropolitan area. Performed QA and commissioning of new electrical equipment and maintenance as well as fault-finding on LV equipment. Other professional experiences consisted of supervised HV electrical maintenance and projects on electrical transformers and circuit breakers, manufacturing and installation of ELV control systems. Recognised by the employer for delivering exceptional productivity in busy and challenging workplaces.
