• Role and responsibility:
• Experience in providing technical support to site supervisors in resolving construction issues associated with scheduling and coordination of trade contractors and suppliers;
• Supervising on-site construction in resolving technical issues through organizing daily Toolbox meetings and reviewing monthly progress claims of contractors and verifying it on-site;
• Prepare and maintain detailed site/quality management (ITPs/ITCs) records;
• Developed minor subcontract documentations including Labour hire, Protection Officer, concrete cutting and drilling, and all schedule of rate work scope;
• Prepare possession packages and lock in all plant, Traffic, concrete, labor, and material resources for Possession works;
• Compliance with Safety and Environmental Responsibilities;
• Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, and quality control functions for all activities at site;

• Lisarow Station Upgrade [Client: TfNSW]
• Role and responsibility:
• Experience in various civil construction works including Civil, Structural, Piling, surveying, utility investigation, and relocation;
• Developed and liaised with Traffic controller suppliers to implement Traffic Management plans and obtain Road Occupancy Licenses;
• Keep updating 4 weeks and 6 weeks look ahead program, Timely booking and updating resources to suit construction site works, Concrete pouring, Suck trucker, potholing, Traffic controller, minor machinery on/off hire, backfilling material booking;
• Ensured safety and environmental compliance are met and actively attended daily toolbox safety meetings while working in challenging and hazardous construction environment;
• Interpreting and overlaying design plan and Utility service plan onto permit to excavate, conducted briefing before digging works happen, make sure existing utility service are safe if any penetration on groundwork occurred;
• Conducted inductions, site visits, OHS (Occupational Health & Safety), Quality and Environmental inspections, and prepared monthly reports for Safety Advisor;
• Reporting sustainability data capture to follow up on monthly material usage, and waste material disposal to meet environmental consultant requirements;
• Ensure the prices are competitive on purchased material and hired machinery by reaching out min. 3 suppliers, and reporting quote comparison;
• Ensure subcontractors are all on the same page with PC by timely updating the drawing distribution register and new drawing copies;
• Assisting in ensuring all equipment, materials and resources are available on or ahead of time and make sure all resources are in place before the possession start;
• Keep following up on Wet / Dry hire plant machine working time and waste disposals, create registers to check and approve Invoices;
• Notify the Project Manager and the Manager Safety, Environment, and Quality of any non-conformance identified by the Principal or project stakeholders;
• Keeping records of Identification of Traceability (ITPs, ITCs, RFIs, NCRs );
• Ensure quality non-conformances and corrective actions are implemented effectively and on time.
• Resolved technical or engineering issues with contractors and suppliers including conducting daily site toolbox meetings, weekly/monthly forecasts, and verifying monthly project claims from contractors;
• Coordinated with suppliers for installation and procurement for cost-effective engineering solutions.

• Get involved in various types of infrastructure tender, including Sewage water treatment plant, Road works, and Metro / Train station upgrade
• Get a better understanding and familiarity with RMS spec, standard drawings, and Water service Spec and standard drawings.
• Assist estimator to prepare 15 tenders, responsible for all civil, pipeline, structural, architectural, and landscape quantities take-off, and sourcing out the subcontractor’s pricing for tender
• Refine skills for civil work qty calculation, including earthwork, Water main pipeline, Concrete FRP, Rates comparison, etc.
• Assist estimator to prepare take-off for Grenfell STP tender to win the tender
• Assist estimator to prepare take-off and subcontractor packages for Narara and Lisarow station upgrade to win the tender
• Assist estimator in take-off all the quantities for Southwest metro tender to win the tender
• Assist estimator in take-off Qty and prepare subcontractor packages for M6 tunnel Ventilation building tender.

• Project: Northern Road Water Main Adjustment Project
• Experience in obtaining and performing different roles & Responsibilities from WHS, Quality, and Environmental management.
• Experience in obtaining and performing technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, and quality control functions from Piling, Excavation,
• Ensured appropriate instruction and adequate supervision are provided to site workers before and during the conduct of works by assessing workers' safety capabilities, addressing Site Safety Induction, Reviewing relevant SWMS, and actively attending daily toolbox safety meetings.
• Develop and issue a permit to work for hazardous work activities from Dig permit (DBYD/Utility), Hot work permit, and Working at Height permit.

Projects from July 2012 to July 2015

1. Proposed Office Block Development on Plot No. 1 Clement Hill Road, Kampala, which was $ 0.9 million, the construction areas were 3000 sm with one basement + six floors superstructure;

2. Proposed Gems International School (U) Limited for Nationwide Properties, Kampala, which was $ 4.64 million, the construction areas were 7000 sm in total, including one 3 floor levels of new classroom block, and renovating 4 existing 1 floor level annex blocks and external works including swimming pool, car park, walkway, spectator seats;

3. Proposed Commercial Development for Acacia Place Ltd on Plot No.6 Acacia Avenue, Kampala, which was $3.5 million, the construction areas were 10000 sm, with two underground basements and seven upper floors above.

  Construction of Hostel (10) Blocks Lot 2 by PSPF for the University of Dodoma which was $20 million, constituted ten blocks of student hostel with 5-floor levels per each, total construction building areas was 49000 sm.
  2. 2010 January - 2011 December:
  a) Construction of The Students’ Hostel (12) Blocks for The College of Humanities and Social Sciences of UDOM - Dodoma, which was $ 22.14 million with 12 building blocks, 4-floor levels per block, the construction areas were 54692 sm;
  b) Construction of Laboratory and Library for the College of Health Sciences UDOM – Dodoma, which was $ 3.2 million with 1 Library block and 1 Laboratory block, the total construction areas were 6950 sm.
  3. 2011 January - 2011 December:
  Construction of the Proposed National Records Center in Dodoma, which was $3.8 million with three floors of the administration block and two floors of the storage block, the construction areas were 6348 sm.
  4. 2012 January - 2012 June:
  Construction 1200 TPD Cement Plant at Kimbiji, Tanzania for Lake Cements Ltd, which was $ 15 million, the construction areas were 16191 sm, it consists of the cement mill house, cement silo, coal mill building, cooler building, pre-heater house, raw mill house, and blend silo. The project duration was 2.5 years, but I just worked as a project QS for six month
  
  Responsibilities:
  1. Site mobilization - including plant and equipment arrangement, labor force planning, site accommodation set up, land surveying, and set up power and water ;
  2. Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, and quality control functions for all activities at the site.
