Dynamic and safety-focused professional with experience as a Trainee Shotfirer at MRM Solutions. Proven ability in managing on-bench jobs and effectively collaborating in team environments. Experienced in handling hot shots and noxious gases, while ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Mentoring fellow peers to foster a culture of safety and excellence maintaining a positive work ethic attitude as a site supervisor.
As a Trainee Shotfirer, I've developed the skillset and knowledge to work on the bench efficiently, while maintaining a high regard for safety and to follow site procedure. Being exposed to various environments while Shotfiring has given me the experience necessary to be confident in my work, and in also help teach others. 'Hot shots' and managing 'noxious gasses' while loading are some unique experiences I've encountered while learning to become a Shotfirer. I am trained in both Oricia and AECI IE/HE products and systems.
As a Tradesman, you're relied on past experience and knowledge. Constantly thinking creatively and communicating to problem solve in team environments. There's also the responsibility of taking charge of jobs/ work groups. Being able to delegate jobs and to oversee the final goal. Reading and interpreting engineered plans and specifications to understand the necessary actions coordinated for each job task. Applying and ensuring safety within each task is essential, especially for being a role model for apprentices to learn off
As an apprentice, I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to help run job sites. Whilst organising and training new apprentices, to oversee and deliver site toolbox talks and morning safety briefing. To be able to have a great responsibility at an early stage of my career, has helped shaped my work ethic into a positive basis while holding a high regard of safety, leadership and commitment to procedures.
