Throughout my studies at Victoria University the most valuable experience I have gained in my field are the enlightening years I spent at Social Engine. I have wanted to work with and for struggling young people since I first started studying psychology in high school and achieving that goal for the first time solidified my passion and provided some experience in specialised and creative communication that I want to further utilize in the field.

Social Engine offers youth employment programs to create job opportunities, build life skills and give young people the confidence and courage they need to secure jobs. My job was to work side by side with new staff, ensuring a stress free transition into the workplace and to build relationships with the youth so that they would have someone in the team they could trust and talk to that was not a boss or manger.
- Provided a safe and supportive environment, ensuring each participant had access to necessary resources for personal growth.
- Monitored participant performance closely, providing regular feedback to enhance their skill development and progress towards goals.
