I have accumulated 11 years of extensive experience as a plasterer, working on a variety of projects including commercial, domestic, and heritage properties. I take pride in delivering exceptional results and pay close attention to detail and craftsmanship. Additionally, I have gained hands-on experience in the fitness industry, working in gym facilities, and exploring the nutritional aspects of the industry at Mass Nutrition Shepparton. More recently, I have transitioned into a Correctional Officer role with Corrections Victoria, where I have demonstrated sound judgment and reasoned thinking during crisis events. I have built strong rapport with both prisoners and colleagues and possess an excellent command of detention centre safety, security, and emergency management protocols. Over the past 5 years, I have focused on roles such as a prison officer, case manager, and sport and recreation officer. My responsibilities have included direct engagement with individuals, providing support to prevent re-offending while addressing the root causes of their behaviors, and dealing with a diverse range of prisoners with different backgrounds and attitudes toward staff and community members. I am also a member of the emergency response team, contributing to maintaining safety and security within the correctional facility. I am dedicated to continuous professional growth, seeking additional training and immersing myself in relevant policies to enhance my expertise. My drive for ongoing development reinforces my ability to thrive both independently and as a valuable team member. I am now interested in pursuing a career with Victoria Police. Having worked closely with the police as a corrections officer in multiple exercises, I am motivated to join Victoria Police as I strongly believe in what they represent and feel there's still much to achieve in my working career.
