  • Provide leadership and management to the Rostering & Information Office (RIO) team, working through staffing issues including team conflict to create a team of rostering support staff providing advice and support to ProAct users working together to create an service with accuracy and professionalism while demonstrating CARE values

  • Liaise with Nurse Unit Managers, Nursing Directors and Business Managers when the processes were not compliant to find solutions that would be supported
  • Assist with calculations for nursing staffing levels including assisting with Nursing Hours per Patient Day benchmarking processes
  • Preparation of all nursing related payroll journals, ensuring the Pool Office costs are all journaled to the area utilising the staff
  • Maintenance of statements and requesting of invoices for TasTAFE and UTAS when LGH staff are utilised for Clinical Facilitators of student nurses

  • Supported the Nurse Unit Manager of the Nursing Information Office to implement ProAct into the Ward Areas of the Launceston General Hospital including all set up processes and system code creation including the exporting of daily staffing sheets into Excel to create individual Daily Staffing Sheets (Allocators) for each Ward
  • Training of NUMs in the new system as well as preparation of rosters and updating of employee related information within the system as well as data entry of shift changes for worked rosters
  • Prior to the implementation of computerised rostering maintained central roster system, provided assistance with clerical tasks within the Pool Office as the only clerical staff member between Nursing Information and Nursing Pool, data entry of Pool and Casual shifts for costing and journaling preparation, creation and maintenance of Nursing Staffing Spreadsheets, maintained records of nursing registrations and prepared nursing related payroll and roster related statistics
