  • Working as a head surf instructor organising classes and looking after individuals or groups of students ranging between 1 to 200 students
  • Developed athletes'' skills through coaching, resulting in higher individual achievements.
  • Maintained equipment (Wetsuits and surfboards), facilities and inventory to avoid accidents, mishaps, and damage.

Study Trip

One Tree Island research station
  • Worked with Professors and PhD students on the Great Barrier Reef and lead my own research project where we:
  • Developed new and interesting methods to analyse fish and invertebrate communities over 24 hour periods using cameras and live surveys.
  • Built 3D models using software to analyse the structural complexity (based on fractal dimension) and live coral percentage.
  • Developed a scoring system to score the small-scale structural complexity of coral reefs.

Charity

Self-employed
  • Completed a 680km hiking trek (The AAWT) through the alpine regions of Australia which took 40 days. We raised $AUD 20,000 for Sydney Wildlife. They used this money to purchase an all terrain rescue vehicle to help rescue injured wildlife including koalas and kangaroos from brushfires in Australia.
  • This trek helped develop logistic and communication skills such as managing food, water and conflict among the group
  • Mentally and physically this was a toughening and rewarding experience.
