Example Project: Integrated SLOPE central laboratory kit management software for centralised digital tracking and reordering of central laboratory kits and consumables.

Outcome: Improved accuracy of kit stocktake, expiration tracking and overspending on kit orders across 42 studies over a 6-month self-audit period.

Additional Information:

• Laboratory and clinic management, including equipment calibration, consumable ordering and central laboratory kit preparation.
• eCRF and source document management, including PICF and radiographic uploads, query resolution and requisition form submission.
• Central laboratory processing and sample preparation across phase I-III trials, including blood, urine, faeces, and sputum for downstream analysis.
• 3rd-party vendor collaboration for updating site documentation and facilitating patient appointments through MS-Office and CTMS software.
• Primary point of contact for CRA and sponsor communication, including study start-up (SIV) facilitation and external audits.
• Facilitated teaching of ICH and GCP principles for the University of Queensland 2nd Year Medical Student placement program, across two semesters.

Example project: Collaboratively designed, executed and optimized a research pipeline with both patient-derived tumor samples and in-vivo models of tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) resistance, to investigate sensitivity mechanisms in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Outcome: Successfully identified a potential novel relationship between stress granule biology and developed resistance mechanisms in TKI-resistant NSCLC for further investigation.

Additional Information:

• Pioneered implementation of novel software and pipelines for analysis of compiled proteomic data.
• Contributing author through literature review for the mechanism of action for 5-fluorouracil in the treatment of colorectal cancer for publication (Br J Cancer, 2024)
• Supervised high-school student internships on GLP, GCP and experimental design over a two week period.
• Maintained laboratory-wide stocktaking, consumable ordering, data administration and WHS compliance.
• Actively contributed to and participated in weekly laboratory meetings to inform future research directions.
• Student panelist for the inaugural BIOMs QUT Researchers in Science evening.
• Applied for and received thesis ethics approval under QUT's Research Ethics guidelines.

Example Project: Developed a working research workflow for 5-Fluorouracil colorectal cancer proteomic data generation, in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.

Outcome: Successfully generated an analytical pipeline for mass spectrometry, data from which contributed to downstream publication (in progress).

• Completed additional on-site training in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) through Translational Research Institute (TRI).
• Participated in weekly laboratory meetings and presentations to inform research directions.

Example Project: Over a 12-month period, independently maintained stringent NDIS reporting, compliance and communication with allied health services on behalf of more than 12 clients.

Additional Information:

• Coordinated and managed delivery of support services to clients through first-hand and recruited support across the greater Brisbane region for more than 20 clients.
• First-hand experience communicating with a variety of allied health services and autism support groups across the greater Brisbane region, including STEPS, TAFE, Griffith University, SNL Pathology, SAE Institute, Maxima Employment, Metro Health and Reframing Autism.
