Summary

I am a passionate Teacher with experience developing and implementing diverse curriculums covering wide range of subjects. Skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts using interactive classroom instruction and observation. Successful in helping students develop strong numeracy, social and learning skills.

FOr the last 9 years I have been working with students with disabilities or addition needs. Over that time I have become very passionate about supporting my students and their families with their schooling life.

I have worked in both Modbury and Adelaide North Special school where I learnt a lot from my mentor teachers.

Woking with my peers I was able to develop a teaching pedagogy that I was comfortable with and help the students to achieve their learning goals.

Working at Beafield Education Centre allowed me to expand on my previous experience. Through interaction with my team teacher and my peers I was able to become a more effective teacher and had the opportunity to not only improve my behavioural management skills as well as giving me that ability to write effective reports for each child and unique SMARTAR goals for them to achieve.

I have also has successfully co run a Professional Development on SMARTAR goal creation with my team teacher at the time.

I have enjoyed my time working with students with disabilities and am looking forward to the opportunity to build upon my current knowledge foundation to support these students in a different way.
