    Development of cultural awareness through appreciation of the social and environmental consequences of tsunami, earthquake, liquefaction and artisanal gold mining in Palu, Central Sulawesi and Indonesia.


    During the October mid-semester break, I was fortunate enough to travel to Palu, Central Sulawesi and Indonesia to examine the environmental impacts of natural disasters.


    The hands-on experience in Palu deepened my understanding of the challenges and solutions for sustainability in a diverse and culturally rich community.
