Ava Murray

Currently, my role is based in cancer care services within Nepean Hospital. Within Cancer care, I am part of a multidisciplinary team involving physiotherapists, occupational therapists, Speech pathologists and dieticians. The main portion of my job involves reviewing inpatients within the cancer ward for mobility maintenance on behalf of physiotherapists. Another portion of my role involves participating in outpatient therapy clinics with Nursing staff and Speech therapists. Within my scope, I also have gotten to experience working out in the community alongside Occupational therapists for our cancer patients setting up equipment to assist in their end-of-life care. Additionally, I have;

• Implemented time management strategies that increased efficiency within the allied health department.
• Completed admin tasks on behalf of the AH professionals
• Created learning resources for outpatient therapeutic activities for Speech therapy and in addition sat in on these therapies to assist.
• Build rapport with patients to gain trust and mutual connection which aids in achieving therapy goals.

• Handled customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
• Processed transactions accurately while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Increased sales by building strong customer relationships and providing excellent service.
• Assisted customers in making informed decisions by offering detailed product knowledge and comparisons.
• Managed inventory to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing overstock and out-of-stock situations.
• Participated in ongoing training to stay updated on current products, promotions, and industry trends.
