Brandon Bakker

I started in the job with no experience but quickly learned how work work in the environment, and ended up being put 2nd in charge and working very closely with the Canteen Manager within 6 months. Here I learnt how to work with others, interact with teachers and students, and how to work efficiently on a number of different tasks, including; using the computer, preparing meals, stocking fridges and shelves, checking orders, and serving customers.

• Developed and implemented training programs to enhance player skills and teamwork.
• Analyzed game performance to identify areas for strategic improvement.
• Mentored junior coaches, fostering a collaborative coaching environment.
• Organized and conducted team practices focused on skill development and conditioning.
• Established effective communication channels with players and parents to promote engagement.
• Promoted good sportsmanship with competing teams on- and off-field.
• Acted as positive role model for team participants and in community.
• Built strong, cohesive teams by fostering a positive and supportive environment.

I have worked hard to achieve a representative level playing basketball resulting in being selected to play in the NSW state team in 2022. This took a lot of effort and commitment to the sport, which has taught me how to be resilient and to put work in even when people don't see what I am doing.

I currently play for Manly in the Youth League Division 2 to keep my playing skills current and for the enjoyment of the game.
