As head of Finance Systems, I lead a team of system professionals to control, maintain, integrate and develop the finance systems, the systems include PeopleSoft (GL, AP, AM, AR, Procure to Pay), NXG-Accurate (reconciliation software), Oracle EPM and Concur.

The most recent initiatives:

• Major contributor to the leadership team in the move to Oracle ERP from PeopleSoft
• Completion of Suncorp's Asteron Life finance systems integration into TAL's financial system(s).
• Completion of the integration of Westpac Life into TAL's financial system(s)
• Moving from Hyperion on premise to Oracle EPM Cloud.
• Integration of IFRS17 data in and out of the ledger

I work closely with my team to ensure the best outcomes for Finance and TAL by:

• Streamlining and implementing new/existing processes
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with overall company objectives.
• Strengthening communication between finance team(s) and other business units, fostering an environment of collaboration across the organisation.
• Manage availability, capacity and performance carry out incident management processes.
• Manage vendor relationships with technology providers
• Ensure that cost effective solutions are maintained that are fit for purpose.
• Development of strategic plans for day-to-day financial operations.

Leading a team responsible for the analysis, design and delivery of system change including:

• PeopleSoft Upgrade(s)
• Money In and Money Out development/enhancements with integration between source administration systems, the Finance Systems and the bank
• Streamlining processes by implementing efficient systems management strategies, resulting in reduced downtime and increased productivity.
• Development of comprehensive disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of unforeseen system failures or outages.
