Freshly graduated from a dual degree in nursing and midwifery that I am extremely passionate about, I am incredibly eager to begin working in a health care setting and immerse myself into an environment where i can apply and further develop my skills and experience as a health professional.   • Working around Brisbane with elderly members of the community providing cares such as domestic assistance, personal care, medication administration, companionship, driving and community access and overnight awake supervision
  • Within this role, I have been able to greatly enhance professional skills in positive communication and the creation of therapeutic relationships with clients, staff and family members whilst providing in home cares
  • Exposed to a range of conditions and care requirements, I have experience working with visual impairment, mental challenges involving conditions of neurological decline such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s, and Anxiety and Depression
  • Constantly exposed to diverse and varying nursing needs, my ability to positively interact, create a plan for care and think critically and on my feet has evolved remarkably in conjunction with my clinical placements
  • The ability to identify and manage deterioration is a critical skill when providing in home cares, and developing this critical thinking and reasoning has greatly consolidated my studies over the last 4 years
  • Working in this capacity has evolved my professional development substantially in areas of positive and valuable interactions, knowledge across conditions and nursing cares, time management, infection control, effective communication, and appropriate escalation when clinically and intuitively necessary.

  • In this work environment I developed crucial skills of character and workplace efficacy such as teamwork, professional conduct, efficacious customer engagements and assistance and was able to vastly develop my knowledge of medications, prescriptions and conditions.

Extracurricular Activities

2018: Volunteer work in Africa with Global Immersion

Attended a voluntourism trip with a group of participants from across Australia, visiting schools, slums, and orphanages throughout Nairobi. This experience was both immensely difficult and rewarding and is one I hold extremely close to my heart. 

2018: Climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa

Completed the 7-day trek up mount Kilimanjaro – the world’s tallest freestanding mountain, located in Tanzania, Africa. A totally surreal both mental and physical challenge, with my achievement of the summit a truly exhilarating accomplishment. 

2018: Fundraiser raising $2000 for the Mirror of Hope Foundation 

2020 & 2021: Participated in ‘Do It In A Dress’ campaign with Duchesne College 2020 & 2021

2020 & 2021: Participated in clean up Australia Day with Duchesne College 

2022: Bridge to Brisbane 10km run and fundraiser
