Cheki GYELTSHEN

As a Civil Engineer, through a continual process of learning and achieving higher professional growth, I hope to serve in my desired profession to the best of my ability and capacity and take on more responsibility for the welfare of the general public and the community at large. About me As a civil engineer, I am proficient in structural engineering concepts and project management techniques to ensure the successful completion of projects. With hands-on experience in building construction and site monitoring, I prioritize safety and quality while meeting project deadlines. My strong team management skills allow me to effectively coordinate efforts and maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle. I am driven to continuously improve my skills and stay updated with developments in the sector, as I am dedicated to sustainable infrastructure. My ultimate goal is to have persistence for future generations by delivering creative solutions with an unwavering commitment to quality, thereby positively impacting communities.

• Undertaken the project in collaboration with Phuentsholing Thromde, Bhutan on the topic “Engineering Approach in the Manufacture of Economical and Eco-friendly cement-less Paver Blocks (using waste plastic as a binding material)” in the final year
• Participated as a member of Rover Scout at the College of Science and Technology, Bhutan for the Academy Year 2018-2019
• Participated in STARTUP WEEKEND (Project on substitution of scarecrow to minimize the cost of wild animal conflict) DiTT, Ministry of Information and Communications, & College of Science and Technology, Royal University of Bhutan for the Academy Year 2019
• Served as a class representative, the College of Science and Technology, Bhutan for the academic year 2018-2019
• Participated in a Workshop “Activity Based Leadership (ABLE) Conducted by the Sherubtse Leadership Program of Sherubtse, Bhutan (SSLP) and intern students of Renaissance College, University of New Brunswick- 2013
• Winner of Inter-School Science Exhibition, Ugyen Academy, Bhutan for the academic year 2014
• Winner of Inter-House English Skit Competition, Rangjung Higher Secondary School, Bhutan for the academic year 2010
