Summary

To Whom it may concern I lisa Doong, am 34-year-old women. I am a mum of two beautiful children. I have always been in the medical field since I was 18 years old. I studied assistance in nursing, at Wetherill Park college. After finishing my studies, I instantly had found work at Campbelltown Medical and Dental Centre Queen Street, as a treatment room nurse, I absolutely loved it. I had found my passion and thought I was extremely lucky to have somewhat of a guidance of career path at a young age. I continued my studies in pathology, to be able to venipuncture and expand my knowledge and skills at the Medical Centre. I continued to work there for 6 years, being a treatment nurse. I than decided to try different avenues to continue my development in nursing. I than put myself through university studying Bachelor of nursing at Charles Darwin University I am now heading into third year.

I am still current working in pathology at Campbelltown Hospital and been employed there since 2012. Working at Campbelltown Hospital has given myself so many opportunities in my development of time management, self-managed, working in multi-disciplinary team, communication skills, delegation, patient centre care, bedside manners, and how working in a collaborative team has helped my knowledge to understand the medical field, patients, and medical staffing on how to care for a patient in a holistic approach. I have put myself through university as a parttime student, studying Bachelor of nursing, while having a family. I have been committed and love studying.

I have also put my time and energy in volunteer work at my son school in book reading, excursions, and teachers' assistance. I love helping and interacting with children and I think working with children is truly amazing, as that is one of my strong passions in life. Working in Multidisciplinary team I have found some of my key attributes is being able to communicate well in a professional manner as well as multitasking and decision making efficiently. I have always been a people person and work well within a team as well as self-motivated when working alone. I have always been passionate about caring for patient and focused on patient centred care and respecting patient needs and rights. I find myself eager to learn new task as I am a fast learner.

I have always studied and done continued professional development (CPD) when an opportunity arises at work. I think it is critically important to update and learn new tasks, to be able to be the best carer, nurse or any health-related jobs working with patients as you're their educator, carer, and trusted clinician. I am currently attending Charles Darwin University, as a third-year student. I am hoping to graduate next year and receive my Bachelor of nursing. I will continue my studies in psychology in the future, or what may be required in my professional development to help surmount my career. Thank you for taking the time to read my cover letter, as I am truly grateful.

Kind Regards
