Summary

I am a committed and hard working person looking to work as a veterinary nurse once I have completed my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in early 2025. I have many years of experience working with mainly horses and dogs but also more recently sheep, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds. I have also participated and continue to participate in continuing education courses through institutes like Australian College of Veterinary Nursing and VetPrac. I am very caring and also aim to work with animals in the most gentle and calm way possible. I am very reliable and always willing to go the extra mile for both people and animals. I work well in a team and am respectful of other team members at all times. I can adapt quickly to changing situations as well as respond appropriately in an emergency with a level head and open mind. On completion of my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing I am ready to take on and move into a veterinary nursing position should there be the opportunity to.

Future Goals

My future goal is to become a veterinarian. My plan is to work as a veterinary nurse whilst I continue to study to become a veterinarian. Once I am a fully qualified veterinarian I would love to then move into the process of becoming a double boarded specialist in internal and emergency medicine for small animals. Although it is going to take a long time to achieve this goal, I am very committed to putting in the hard work to eventually become a double boarded certified veterinarian.
