Key Responsibilities:

• Medication Dispensing & Patient Safety: accurate dispensing of upwards of 100+ prescriptions daily in a busy community pharmacy, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and legal requirements
• Webster Packing & Medication Management: preparing and reviewing Webster packs for patients requiring multi-dose medications, ensuring precise medication administration and patient safety.
• Patient Counselling & Education: providing comprehensive counselling to patients regarding prescribed medications, including usage instructions, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to enhance adherence and improve health outcomes.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Professionally: working closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to discuss prescriptions and patient health outcomes and goals
• Inventory Management: managing the procurement and replenishment of dispensary stock, ensuring the availability of essential medications and medical supplies
• Training & Supervision: supervising and mentoring pharmacy trainees including pharmacy interns and students, through providing guidance on pharmacy practices, therapeutic knowledge and professional development
• Health Advice & Over-the-Counter Support: delivering expert advice on the safe and effective use of over-the-counter medications, and addressing common health ailments seen in community pharmacy
