  • Obtaining knowledge about compounding formula opening more options for medication problems such as advising compounding as a possible option for difficulty in swallowing, in cases of feeding tubes or in cases for children suspension, etc.
  • Hand-on-hand with compounding under pharmacist supervision dealing with range of calculation formulation, therefore, calculating skill must be 100% accurate all the time to always produce a consistent product.

  • Assessing common ailments and providing the most effective over-the-counter treatment corresponding, with 50% considering cost issue and 50% considering condition effectiveness with products, contributing to improved patient health outcomes.
  • Assessing patient's history including medical conditions, current medications, pregnancy/ breastfeeding status if applicable, as well as indication for medication for 100% of scripts taking in ensuring the medication is effective and safe before dispensing.
  • Evaluating all drug interactions and always proposing management with highest benefit-to-risk ratio and monitoring parameters for patients with polypharmacy where drug interactions always exist.
  • Correctly providing S3 medications only where appropriate upon asking and assessing all safety questions and considering other possible differential diagnosis.
  • Understanding reasons underneath patients' behaviours such as under manipulation of drugs, under pain, under social pressure or even having inconvenience with managing medications for their upcoming holiday for example. Management strategies for all of the patients' needs will be 100% successful when we address the right issues causing problems.
  • Collaborating with pharmacists to suggest a management plan with late night cases when doctors are not available for calling such as evaluating appropriateness of emergency supply, owing dispensing or directing patients to urgent care clinic when suspecting dangerous complications.
  • Developing effective interpersonal communication ability in assigning tasks between colleagues, assisting pharmacists with stock supply and directing floor staffs to help with non-prescription queries, etc during busy hours.
