  • Organising I can organise my shift, delegate tasks to staff, discern priority, and replace staff
  • Flexibility I will work across all shifts, and have done agency work in QLD and Tas I can be contacted with little notice, while on shift priorities often change and need ti be adjusted

Goals

  • Until my retirement I hope to continue to contribute my nursing skills in meaningful settings that deliver true and compassionate care. I am ‘old school’. I will hope for the best outcomes for all always, and I never take any easy roads. My training, and my internal expectation/s will always be high and directed to what is right.
  • Over the years I have advocated for aged care strongly. I’d been to Canberra twice on issues aged care related believing my voice will be heard. So many people have a stake in aged care but is the care of that stake the best outcomes for our vulnerable older people! Residents deserve the utmost in quality care, dignity and respect. I feel the industry still has a long way to go. I have worked with ANMF and unionism passionately for my 2.4 decades in Australia.
