• Holsworth Undergraduate Research Intensive (June 2022)

Week-long intensive aiming to give undergraduate students laboratory experience.

Worked as a group with a supervisor to undertake a small research project, including presenting learned skills at LIMS Symposium.

Skills learned included; pipetting, cell culture and introduction to super-resolution microscopy.

• Honours year (2024)

Year-long project aiming to give research experience.

Project: 'Super-resolution microscopy of male mice in the absence of testosterone action'

Skills developed included; paper writing, basic animal handling, sample preparation, PCR, qPCR, RNA/DNA extraction, and microscopy techniques.

• Joss Family Fellowship (November 2023-January 2024)

Summer project where five students were selected to undertake a two-month project with a supervisor. Projects were presented and the top two students received a $2000 stipend.

Chosen to undertake a microbiology-based project and won the stipend.

• Industry Placement (LTU3IND) (August 2022-November 2022)

Worked within a University Laboratory for a semester, undertaking assessments related to involved work.

Skills developed included; cell culture, histology, microscopy and public speaking)

• Science Project (SCI3PRJ) (August 2023-November 2023)

Project-based subject aimed to simulate a small honours project

Skills developed included; sample staining & microscopy, and paper writing.

• Barista

Working front of house as barista at local cafe, five locations (Rutherglen, Wodonga & Albury).

Skills included; making coffee, food preparation, cleaning, serving customers, independently opening & closing the shop, dealing with money and training new staff members.
