Work History

Disibilty Support Worker

The Wholesome Few
Geelong, VIC
01.2023 - Current
  • Over the past three years, with the wholesome few, I have worked with various participants, but most of my experience has been with one single participant, supporting him an average of four days a week for the past three years. The participant has extreme high needs, with an intellectual disability, autism level 3, complex PTSD, and is deaf due to a genetic mutation.
  • I have had lots of experience with behaviour regulation, as the participant can be extremely hostile toward staff due to his complex PTSD. I also have a lot of experience with everyday, daily tasks, prompting, assisting with personal care, as well as community access.
  • Working in a team environment alongside occupational therapists, other staff members, and behavior support practitioners.

Disability Support Worker

Australian Support Services
Geelong, Vic
11.2021 - 06.2022
  • My entry experience with disability support was with a smaller company, with only two participants, working closely with another support agency.
  • My roles as a residential disability support worker were to support two older participants: one with an acquired brain injury, and another with an intellectual disability.
  • My roles were daily tasks, personal care, and community access.
