I am 1 of 3 owner directors.

We are a Granny flat Building company.

We design, plan and construct all types of grannyflat and secondary dwellings, Based in the Illawara we service the south coast down to vincentia, out the southern highlands and north to the sutherland shire.

I personal manage the construction stage of the process. Starting with the WH&S systems we implement. to communication with our clients and ordering Home owners warranty. Then through to setting the building schedule, ordering materials, booking in trades and correspondence with trades and client to achieve our clients designed outcome to be on time, on budget and provide a quality product that our clients are extremely satisfied with.

I was One of 2 Owners/ directors in a high end residential Building company.

Between my partner and myself we did everything to run the company for 6 years. We had a team of 6 Carpenters and apprentice carpenters who looked after all jobs from small decks to multi million dollar duplex builds.

I looked after the marketing, initial consultation with the clients quoting/ tender process.

Then once we had won the project, the scheduling of the project, booking trades and suppliers, ordering materials, hands on construction, managing Work health and safety onsite and meeting time and budget constraints to deliver a high quality product. Most of our projects were aroun the sutherland shire and eastern suburbs.

Worked as a installer/ site foreman for a soft Furnishings company.

Installed, blinds, curtains, awnings, shutter's, patient bays and all associated tracking and fixtures.

Will working here the company had the contracts for aged care, schools and hospitals so we had to ensure all work meet Health and safety standards and all WH&S systems were in place and carried out.

I had to manage deliveries, communicate with project managers and clients to work withing a set schedule and be able to communicate with patience's and hospital/ age care staff to ensure the safety and wellness of the patients.

i was generally the last trade in the building so had to make sure the place was let, clean, tidy and safe

Working as a sub contractor Carpenter to build all aspects of residential construction. Worked under various builders and also ran some small jobs myself Inclding-

- Decks

-Pergolas,

- Small additions and renovations

For other builders:

-managed and constructed new builds & renovations

-Site foreman/ Supervisor

Completed my 4 year Carpentry apprenticeship working on residential new builds and renovations varying from $100k jobs to $5million jobs-

• Assisted with movement of materials and equipment to job sites.
• Observed all OSHA and corporate safety regulations and procedures.
• Kept job site cleaned up properly and all debris disposed of in respective containers.
• Gained valuable education in residential and commercial building codes.
• Cut materials according to specifications in preparation for installation.
• Checked measurements and completed accurate cuts to prevent materials waste and maintain cost controls.
• Followed established job site safety regulations and maintained safe and clean work area.
• Planned and executed work with proper tools and materials to maximize productivity.
• Worked with master carpenters to install decks for both residential and commercial customers.
• learnt all the skills and qualifications to become a competent and qualified carpenter
