My role at Wandarma was as a project worker for a program called Salt Water People and was aimed at Indigenous youth between the ages of 12 to 18 with
the goal of engaging them in water based sport activities. This program was offered in three communities Wallaga Lake/Narooma, Bega and Eden and required me to liaise with the community, schools, land councils, health
service providers as well as local outdoor tourism service providers. Over the 2 years I facilitated the saltwater people program we well surpassed the initial
attendance target. Some of the activities provided where; Surfing lessons, Stand up paddle board lessons, sea kayaking, scuba and free diving, Marine life education as well as engaging with local elders for education on culture around the water and it's marine life.
During my time with Southern New South Wales Medicare Local I facilitated a program called Living Strong, this program was aimed at Indigenous people between from the age of 16 onward with the goal to promote healthy lifestyle choices encouraging healthy eating through cooking programs and educations sessions, running education sessions on affordable healthy shopping choices as well as supporting fitness
programs. During my time with the Healthy For Life team I also assisted with Elders Diabetes Clinics, School health checks witch children from preschool to year 12. I also assisted with the coordination of the Deadly Dads Men''s group. Healthy for Life delivered programs with three Aboriginal communities on the far south coast (Wallaga, Bega, Eden).

diabetes clinics, Elders fitness programs and school health checks.
