Motivated professional with over ten years of practical knowledge as an electrical tradesperson in the heavy industrial/construction industry. Proven track record working on diverse projects and sites. Comfortable in industrial settings and committed to delivering top-notch results. People-oriented team leader successful in monitoring performance, delegating work and motivating members. Versed in managing daily direction and team communication. Collaborative and resourceful professional dedicated to identifying needs to develop and deliver creative solutions.
Working as a key component for the supervisory team on the No. 6 Blast Furnace Reline Project, my role was to organize, direct, and monitor project operations, identifying tasks and priorities, planning work, and assigning resources accordingly. Manage operations to achieve a superior level of safety, environmental, and quality performance. Collate and forward to the Supervisor all daily records and other required reports and documentation, ensuring these provide a complete and accurate record of all activities undertaken.
On the Thunderbird Mine project, my responsibility was to perform assigned tasks and complete work within the allocated time frame. I installed underground services, fault-found on established electrical systems, installed and terminated new electrical and data circuits, installed earth grids, and supplied cables for motors, generators, and instrumentation circuits. These tasks were performed alone and alongside a team, and to the highest standard of work.
As an electrical team leader, my responsibility was to organize and delegate tasks to my team and supervise them on a day-to-day basis. I was also responsible for generating appropriate scope documents, SWMS, and JSEA documents, liaising with clients on day-to-day operations, and ensuring a high standard of quality work was maintained.
As an electrician, it was my responsibility to follow the duties laid out to me on a daily basis and to gain an understanding of each project I work. In this regard, I have been tasked to install electrical equipment and associated cabling, trace and diagnose faults on electrical systems, interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical layouts, and adhere to specifications and codes in the work that I complete. In my years as an electrician, I have learned how to produce quality work that anyone would be proud to call their own.
