As the Commercial Director, I am responsible for the overall strategic management of the hotel by establishing effective working relationships with senior team members, in particular the General Manager, Director of Operations, Director of Finance and Director of Human Resources. I provide support and advice to the General Manager in strategic planning and overall business goals relating to business development issues of the brand and the hotel, protecting and guarding corporate standards, brand integrity and hotel image

Accomplishments include:

  • Achieved fair market share and growing RGI YOY by 12.7% in 2023 for Hilton Fiji despite a dated property while most of the Compsets completed multimillion-dollar refurbishments
  • Significantly grew the meetings business in 2023 and replacing low-yielding group tour series. In doing so, increased meetings revenue by 142% over 2022 and 379% over 2019 for the Cluster
  • Successfully oversaw the transition from static to dynamic pricing for Fiji Properties, a significant milestone for the Fiji Market, which is heavily driven by static contracts and, in doing so, achieved a 52% rate growth in 2023 over 2022 and 71% over 2019 for this segment across the Cluster
  • Focused on growing direct business through right pricing and distribution strategies. In doing so grew Digital Direct business by 69% across the Fiji Cluster
  • Achieved a growth of 33% in 2024 for groups business over 2023 and 534% over 2019
