I am a contemporary and highly skilled educational leader with 30 years in Catholic education, including the past 10 years in senior leadership roles. My senior leadership experience has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to cultivate a positive learning and teaching environment through effective pedagogical practices, to drive an explicit improvement agenda, build a school wide professional team of highly capable staff, and seek ways to build a strong connection with the local and wider community to enhance student growth and wellbeing.
Edmund Rice Education Liberating Education Reference Group
The reference group provides inspiration and support for excellence in the educational dimension of the Edmund Rice mission. Our objective was to identify contemporary pedagogy and best practice learning strategies that align with the vision of Catholic education and the Liberating Education Framework of all Edmund Rice schools throughout Australia and build professional learning strategies around this pedagogy.
Edmund Rice Education National Teaching and Learning Conference
Elected delegate to represent NSW in the planning and implementation of a three-day National Teaching and Learning Conference held at the University of Technology (Sydney) in September 2019. The three-day conference involved over 20 guest speakers covering a wide variety of emerging educational themes. The opportunity to design this conference was based on my own vision of inspiring future education.
Liberating Education Research Project
As a member of the Liberation Education Reference group, I was involved in the creation of the Liberating Education Research Project. The project gained insights into the prevailing cultural understandings of holistic learning, teacher pedagogy and individual differences, aimed at capturing the reality of the teaching and learning landscape across Australia.
