Calm, kind and patient. Over the last 24 years,I have worked in the caring profession. Having started out my career in childcare, I sought greater challenges through studying a bachelor of nursing (child branch) and subsequently enjoyed working as a paediatric nurse, in the field of paediatric cardiology, for 16 years. During that time, I emigrated to Australia from the UK and built a life and family here. As family circumstances changed, I made the decision to become a self-employed, independent disability support worker. Throughout my career, my work is always underpinned by my ability to build relationships with clients/patients and their families, and my desire to support them in reaching their full potential.
