With over 25 years experience in the Leisure Industry, I believe I am a very proactive and goal-oriented professional, with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
I am a reliable individual who can adapt to various situations, with capacity to learn and apply new skills.
I am also committed to using my knowledge and experience to drive team success and contribute to organisational growth.
From November 2011 my role was to develop and progress the eight Swim Schools within the Doncaster Borough (DCLT ) which had approximately 6,000 swimmers enrolled across the sites two of which had 1,500 students, during March 2015 DCLT had a restructure and my role changed to Centre Manager.
The job entailed managing the day to day operations of a Centre this included Staff Rotas, Targets & Budgets, Pool Programming, monitoring of all costings, the understanding of the Pool Plant Room and how it operates.
I worked closely with The Head of Leisure, Group Operations Manager & the Sales Manager to develop and progress the Splash Academy Swim Schools. I had regular individual meetings with Area Managers, Duty Managers and the Swimming Instructors, these would include Pool Programming, the introduction of NEW lessons, training days for Instructors, setting achievable targets to increase individual Centre’s.
Within my job role I worked closely with Education Swimming Lessons. DCLT deliver Education lessons to over ninety Primary Schools in the Borough with an approximate National Curriculum pass rate of between 70 – 75%. We were striving to work more with the Primary schools to join the link between the Splash Academy Lessons & Education. We also had very strong links with all the Swimming Clubs in the area with a good relationships with the Elite Squads.
