I'm currently the Nurse Unit Manager of the Gold Coast University and Gold Coast Private Hospitals ICON radiation units. I am a knowledgeable Nurse Manager with excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities. I have excellent communication and coordination skills.

As a CN I provided direct quality care to patients, assessing patients, radiation skin reactions, pain, and providing dressing/care when needed. Weekly nursing reviews of radiation patients which entails assessing their emotional and physical needs and acting accordingly. I provide training new staff and continuing the education of current staff. With the knowledge I have gained in my nursing career I am a good source for staff to come to when they need clinical help and advice. Our nursing work in radiation oncology is holistic, we assess all the dynamics that affect the patient while having daily treatment such as transport, support at home and assess if after treatment care will be required e.g. Community nursing, palliative care. I have the ability to be sympathetic and offer support while our patients endure a very stressful time of their life. I’m willing to take on new challenges. I believe nursing is every evolving and we are always learning.
