As a receptionist, I handled a variety of customer service situations with professionalism and empathy. I made sure to follow legislative and organisational requirements, like protecting personal information under the Privacy Act, ensuring fair treatment under the Australian Consumer Law, and responding appropriately to safety concerns under the Work Health and Safety Act. I used a mix of open and closed questions, paraphrasing, and empathy statements to understand each customer’s needs clearly. When issues were beyond my authority, I responsibly escalated them to the right person—whether it was the Centre Manager, Inventory Manager, or HR Department. I stayed calm, listened actively, documented incidents accurately, and referred customers to appropriate services. These experiences helped me build strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills while maintaining a compassionate and assertive approach
As an SRC leader in primary school, I proudly represented my peers and helped strengthen the connection between our school and the wider community. I played an active role in organising events, supporting parish initiatives, and participating in service projects that brought students and families together. One of my proudest accomplishments was being interviewed on Sunrise, where I shared our school’s efforts and the importance of student leadership. That experience gave me confidence in public speaking and helped me develop strong communication and teamwork skills. It also deepened my commitment to serving others and being a positive role model.
I love communicating and getting to know lots of people—it energises me and helps me understand different perspectives Whether it's chatting with someone new, supporting a team, or helping a customer feel heard, I genuinely enjoy building connections I find that strong communication opens doors to trust, collaboration, and learning, and I’m always curious about people’s stories and experiences It’s one of the reasons I thrive in roles where interaction and empathy matter
