I am a highly skilled pathologist from Argentina with over six years of experience, specializing in Anatomical Pathology. I completed my medical degree at the prestigious Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, one of the top healthcare institutions in Argentina, which is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI). My degree is recognized in Australia, and I have successfully passed the AMC MCQ Exam 1, moving closer to full medical registration in the country.
With full work rights under a Bridging Visa A and a Partner Visa 820 in progress, I am actively seeking opportunities as a junior doctor or in any health-related role. My strengths include teamwork, efficiency, multitasking, and the ability to perform well under pressure. Bilingual in Spanish and English, I am also a fast learner, having developed many of my laboratory management skills independently out of curiosity and dedication.
Core Responsibilities
During my residency in Anatomical Pathology at Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, I undertook a broad range of responsibilities aimed at developing diagnostic expertise and advancing patient care through laboratory medicine. The residency program at this institution maintains high standards of medical education, as the hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI). Furthermore, the Department of Pathology at Hospital Italiano is the only laboratory in Argentina accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), ensuring compliance with the most rigorous international standards.
Responsibilities in the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory
Simultaneously with my Residency in Anatomical Pathology (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM), I also worked as the physician in charge of the general emergency department on weekends.
I completed 48-hour shifts every 15 days. As the head of the emergency department, I was responsible for triaging patients, admitting those who required hospitalization, and coordinating consultations with relevant specialists. I provided outpatient care for patients with minor conditions and, in the case of emergencies, worked closely with the physician responsible for the intensive care unit (ICU) to ensure appropriate management. Additionally, I was responsible for arranging patient transfers to higher-complexity hospitals when the severity of their condition exceeded the capacity of the facility.
