MEGA Gene Engineering Facility

• Develop experimental protocols for genotyping pups resulting from CRISPR-Cas9 edited embryos to verify desired modifications.
• Execute genotyping protocols and conduct sequence analysis to identify MEGA founder mice.
• Collaborate with ABR staff to establish and oversee colonies of mouse strains originating from MEGA founders.
• Maintain accurate records of founder data to monitor project advancement and provide updates to the Chief Scientist.
• Communicate project progress to MEGA clients and assist in addressing project inquiries.

B Cell Biology Lab

• Manage laboratory resources, ensuring adequate stock levels and adherence to equipment maintenance schedules.
• Provide training and supervision to junior staff members on laboratory protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with ABR and GMG staff to support the management of the B Cell Biology GM mouse colony.
• Assist in the preparation of research proposals such as ethics and biosafety applications.
• Coordinate with collaborators to facilitate the import and export of laboratory resources.
