Driven by a passion for community, through my work I have been guided to focusing on enhancing non-Aboriginal knowledge and understanding about Aboriginal families’ values around child rearing and the factors considered critical to raising healthy, confident and resilient children. As a current university graduate, I understand the importance of early childhood education, and how this particular time will greatly impact a child’s life later on. I am committed to closing the gap in education and I am passionate about learning more on early childhood learning and exploring how the teaching and learning varies in different contexts and educational settings. I have a sound understanding of the WA Curriculum, Aboriginal cultural standards framework, EYLF, SCASA, and relevant publications. I am a highly motivated Aboriginal woman seeking a work environment in a remote area that caters to early childhood, or primary aged students.
