Interests Activities Pedagogical Beliefs

My family, four children, and two grandchildren are my strength, love, compassion, and drive. I enjoy learning and discovering daily in life's journey. My passion is working alongside others who have a passion for Early Education, working with children and their families. I believe that the first years of a child's life are significantly influential. It is paramount to provide a safe, secure, and positive environment that promotes welcomed support and a space of nurtured learning for each child. I believe as teachers and educators we are helping individual children strive for the best they can be, through providing a positive environment and plentiful opportunities. These opportunities allow everyone to build skills for life while gaining an understanding of self-belief and inclusion within their environment. My passion lies with providing advocacy for individuals assisting with direction for those with additional needs, and supporting others to understand teaching, best practices, and pedagogy. Collaborating with families, community and transdisciplinary teams is essential to gain the best outcomes for so many individuals and I believe I have the skill to accommodate this and assist in guiding individuals to positive outcomes in learning and the best they can be. I enjoy researching learning, collaborating, and sharing my knowledge with others. I enjoy mentoring and demonstrating to others procedures, ethics, practices, and understanding of Pedagogy. Reading is a favourite pastime (when I get time) as meeting new people (as we can always learn from others and develop a greater understanding of the wider community). I enjoy meeting new people and trying new things. Over the years I have enjoyed working with and learning a great deal about supporting a vast diversity in families and demographics with wonderful educators/teachers and teams of professionals. The beach is a place I like to go to recharge my batteries with my family each year for a holiday, we like to go for long walks and take the fur babies along with us too.
