- Optimization of the production of the coal mine, I oversaw electric shovels Komatsu model PC8000, Bucyrus 495, even based on diesel fuel shovels like Hitachi 3600,1200 backhoe excavators, also bulldozer D11, D10, D9, D6, Tractor equipment types Caterpillar 834, loaders 980,992, 990 tires and 793, 777 trucks
- I oversaw taking loading times of the previously mentioned shovels, fleets of Komatsu, Bucyrus, Hitachi shovels in all bank environments. I also had to identify bad practices in operations such as turns greater than 90 degrees, slow loading times, truck accumulating times, all referring to Shovel idle, truck idle, spot time, dig time.
- Calculating the daily production was one of my responsibilities as well since we needed to guarantee efficiency for the shovel fleet on each zone.
- Conduct daily planning and safety meetings with the Operations Teams
- Design and management for the construction of internal roads, ramps, access and exit roads by using equipment such as Caterpillar 24H, 24m motor graders and D11, D10 Bulldozers.
- Design and management for the construction of dumps which was related to the planning of the mine, taking into account the distribution of the type of material.
- Produce timely and accurate monthly plans, aligned with company budget and forecasts.
- Attend pre-shift crew meetings to detect technical issues and interact with the workforce during the machinery inspection process.
- Providing guidance and technical support to the operations team.
- Based on the long-term sequence we ran a weekly activity overview; i had this meeting with the superintendent to get some context and to know if the deadlines were being met within the whole production plan.
