Projects

  • Test Crop Robot Distance Sensor testing - At university I worked with in a group of six to help the university develop a robot to monitor and record data on test crops. The goal for our project was to determine which type of distance sensor would be more suitable for the robot's needs. We set up a testing environment in a lab with plants at different stages of growth and attached different distance sensors to the robot to discover which sensor was successful in reading the distance of the plants accurately. We then compiled this data into graphs and wrote a report on our findings. My focus for this project was to help with the testing, record the results and write parts of the report.

  • University Course Brokerage website for new Students - At university I worked with a group who created a web application for the university. The purpose of this application was to streamline the enrolment process for new students. The application would ask for a student's previous education, area of study they want to focus on, and a focused discipline and would display all the courses available to that student. The student would then be able to select a course (or multiple courses) and express their interest in enrolling in that course. My focus during this project was to create a database containing all the relevant course information which would be displayed.
