A passionate and empathetic young woman with excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, I am committed to enhancing the lives of individuals living with disabilities. Making a decision to transition from Administration to specialising in Disability was motivated by a deep-seated desire to contribute to society in a meaningful and rewarding field positively. However, soon after starting my studies in Disability in February 2023, I encountered challenges, primarily due to government policies around Covid-19 vaccination, which thwarted my recruitment efforts for a time.
On April 23rd, I enlisted with Heart In Care, captivated by the expansion prospects. The company, principally located in Ipswich, alluded to planned growth towards the Gold Coast. Embracing this vision, I joined the team with optimism. This predicted expansion has not transpired, but I remain hopeful and patient for future developments.
Being mature, professionally minded, and eager to learn, I bring a unique blend of enthusiasm and dedication to my role. I pride myself on my punctuality, loyalty, and ability to work effectively as a team player and under guidance. My bubbly personality enables me to interact effectively and form connections with people from various walks of life.
On a personal note, my experience caring for my grandmother, living with early onset dementia, further affirms my desire for this path. The rewarding feeling I get from helping her, seeing her feel comfortable and at ease, and receiving her reassuring smiles strengthens my resolve to make this difference every day.
Personal Attributes:
Achievements:
Theatre and Community Service: I successfully auditioned for Palm Beach State School Excellence Program and was admitted to Drama Ex. At the end of 2014, I was one of 70 students invited to perform drama in the United States for ten days, including performances at Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and numerous Californian Schools.
During years 8 through 10, I completed multiple hours of community service, notably caring for Taiwanese students for three weeks at a time. With my Drama Ex group, I provided companionship, lunch, presents and performances for the residents of Currumbin Elderly Home.
These extensive involvements have crafted a well-rounded character who is socially aware and given to the service of others.
