Role Purpose:

To provide leadership, mentoring, training, role modelling and effective management of the nursing team. Work collaboratively with the medical centre management team to recognise and assist with the implementation of business objectives that require nursing input. Maintain the efficiency of the treatment room and ensure high quality, safe care is provided by the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Treatment Room Management:

perform acute/chronic woundcare, ecg, ABI, medication administration and management, vaccine administration (child, adult, refugee/catch up plans), cold chain management, and instrument cleaning, packaging and sterilising, Assist with procedures such as iron infusions, venesections, plastering, excisions, punch biopsy, pathology prep, wedge resection, and Implanon. Organise equipment purchase, service, calibration, maintenance and repairs, order consumables, and perform stock take, manage appointment books, staff rosters, and patient record documentation.

Leadership & Management:

staff performance reviews, incident/complaint investigation, positive inclusive working culture development, task delegation.

Nursing Workforce Strategy:

prospective candidate interviews, rosters, clinical support, mentorship and education, clinical policy and procedure implementation and adherence.

Clinical Training and Support:

clinical support provision, training plan development, University student placement facilitation.

Quality & Compliance:

equipment, supplies and consumables management, audit completion, quality patient care provision, accreditation compliance, infection control, instrument sterilization, WH&S practices and compliance, vaccine and coldchain management.

Business Development:

health promotion and nurse led clinic identification and implementation, internal/external meetings and company representation.
