I am a student currently undertaking my bachelor of construction project management at the University of Technology Sydney. I have a background within the field of construction having family members surrounding that line of work. Although through my 5 years as a pick packer I have developed skills that I believe will be extremely effective in transitioning into working within the construction industry.
Managed traffic flow by efficiently coordinating vehicular movements at assigned intersections. Contributed to team development through cross-training initiatives, increasing overall knowledge and skillsets among fellow Traffic Controllers. Demonstrated adaptability when faced with unexpected challenges such as severe weather or accidents, promptly adjusting strategies to maintain smooth traffic flow. Through the use of physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment the work was completed to a satisfactory standard. Worked in teams to ensure to daily requirements were met. Kept work areas clean, organized, and safe to promote efficiency and team safety.
Completed tasks while working independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Prepared sites for construction while undertaking risk management steps and controls for mitigation. Used various power tools, such as drills and saws to complete assigned tasks. Operated vehicles, such as skid loaders and forklifts in order to move materials to and from construction sites. Maintained a safe job site by reporting all incidents to the site manager.
