With over three decades of experience in the technology sector, Michael Duffy is a seasoned software engineer, technical leader, and cybersecurity specialist. His career began with a scholarship at IBM Australia, where he developed large-scale, internet-based solutions using IBM’s WebSphere Suite. During his 10-year tenure at IBM, he contributed to projects across 13 countries and led initiatives such as the establishment of the WebSphere Centre of Excellence in Sydney.
Michael’s expertise spans backend and full-stack development, cloud architecture, DevOps, and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). He has designed and built secure, scalable platforms for government, finance, telecommunications, and cybersecurity sectors. Most recently, he has focused on building RESTful APIs and SaaS platforms using Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, React, and cloud-native technologies in Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
Currently, Michael leads multiple initiatives, including serving as Technical Lead at the Department of Agriculture and founding DigitalFootprintCheck.com—a SaaS platform specializing in OSINT-based digital identity assessments. He holds a baseline security clearance with the Australian Federal Government and is known for delivering high-impact software in secure environments.
