I am currently a 3rd year Heavy Diesel Mechanic and my role at Mavin Truck Centre has consisted of the usual apprentice duties.

As i progressed further into my apprenticeship i am carrying out service procedures, general repairs and widening my diagnostic skills through the use of diagnostic computers and referring to workshop manuals.

I am currently doing after hours break down call outs where i hold the phone for a week at a time every 3 weeks

Through school carrying out 1 day a week placement at Mid Coast Tucks i gained valuable experience working in a specific industry applying learned concepts directly into relevant work situations.

I gained hands on experience working with qualified technicians getting a feel for different kinds of jobs
