  • Checking conveyor belts for wear and tear, making sure all return rollers and trough rollers aren’t worn , checking head chutes for buildup of material and cleaning if needed, checking screens for wear or holes, checking all drive belts on screens and crushers for wear, making sure crusher size setting has been set to production size, checking inside crushers for worn mantle and liners, making sure distributor cap is not loose, cleaning up any build up under tail drums, return roller guards etc.
  • Any defects or problems to be recorded and reported to maintenance management.
  • Keeping communication between control room, other personnel and fitters in restricted area to make sure all personnel are clear of restricted area before start up
  • Checking fuel and oil levels in Generators before start up
  • Control Room Operations. Ensuring all aspects of the fixed plant is running smoothly by watching the plant startup in its sequence.
  • Do a walk around the plant before running product threw to make sure all Conveyors are tracking properly, all return rollers, trough rollers are spinning, listening and checking for any unusual noises.
  • Keeping radio communication between pit supervisor for production from face excavator and dump trucks.
  • Dump Trucks haul from face to ROM so fixed plant can start crushing and producing specified product
  • During the day, alternate between personnel in the control room, doing walk overs the fixed plant cleaning were needed with the Case skid steer, hosing guards etc.
  • End of the day, shutdown plant. Isolating the plant In the MCC room so maintenance can commence from fitters and personnel.
  • Also doing maintenance with fitters when needed. Doing screen changes, changing out trough rollers, return rollers, side skirts, repairing conveyor belts when needed, servicing crushers, every 2 weeks, Mantle, Liner changes when needed
  • During operations of the Fixed Plant always made sure that work safety procedures were used around plant.
  • Monitoring Lockout Procedures when maintenance is been carried out.
  • Making sure Take 5 forms are filled out after every task and handed in at the end of the day

  • Control Room Operations. Ensuring plant starts up in sequence and runs smoothly before running product threw
  • Maintaining communication between supervisor and personnel on the ground before start up to make sure everyone is clear of restricted area.
  • Dump Trucks start hauling from the face to the surge bin so I can start making specified product.
  • Keeping an eye on the plant during the day to ensure Fixed Plant runs all day.
  • At the end of the day Plant is Isolated in MCC room and isolating so I can start doing maintenance that needs to be done.
