Meld Studios is an advocacy based, award winning service design agency. We have just been recognised in Top 5 of the Australian Financial Review Best Places to Work list for professional services.

As the People and Culture Lead my role has been to develop and support new ways of working as the world of work continues to change and people expect different experiences from their work.

While on face value my background is not in Travel, there are many transferable skills that would allow me to hit the ground running. Such as:

  • Understanding the impact business has on people, animals and environment. This can be reflected in the frame of mind I take into booking travel and tours for passengers. Conscious awareness.
  • Over 15 years in Human Resources and Marketing means I have lots and lots of computerised admin experience. Give me a system and I'll learn it, then make it work better!
  • And my attention to detail needs to be spot on when writing employment contracts, the same as it would be when booking travel. Little mistakes can have a big impact.
  • I have a curiosity for the world around me and this translates into a genuine care for the people I support. This would continue in the travel industry.
  • The world of People and Culture is extremely diverse as is the world of travel. I am totally comfortable with difference, in fact, I love it.

My Human Resources career has been long and diverse. I have experienced working across a variety of industries with varying business models. Some very traditional and others completely contemporary.


My Linkedin profile details my career to date, though I am looking for a fresh start in the Travel Industry as a Casual Consultant while I continue to study for my Certificate III in Travel.


While the course is self paced, I will shortly be reducing my full time work load in order to focus on graduating on or before May 2025.

My family are a family of travellers. My first overseas trip was when I learned to walk and I have kept going ever since with almost annual and sometimes twice per year overseas trips.

Geographically, I have covered a lot of the world (Africa, Asia, Europe, North America) though it's not just about the where, but also the how that makes my experience broad.

For example some of my breadth is that I:

  • Have often camped under the stars (once in a hammock in Africa) and also stayed in 5 stars - I love them both!
  • Was a former Membership Manager for YHA, and I still have much respect for good quality youth hotels
  • Have flown low cost carriers, economy class, Premium Economy and International Business Class. I can share the pros and cons of all of these.
  • Have taken completely self planned trips that were complex and also taken organised tours. Depending on the destination I can also share pros and cons to these

I feel a really strong desire to share all the experience to help others have a more open minded view of the world we live in and to be part of the movement towards more sustainable travel for the planet, people and animals in the places we visit.
